Mia’s Cottage is a restored traditional cottage situated in the north western part of the beautiful Inishowen Peninsula in Co Donegal. It is located 5 miles from Clonmany Village on the road leading to the breathtaking Mamore Gap. There are wonderful hill views to back of the cottage with sea views over Lough Swilly towards the front. These scenic surroundings make Mia's Cottage a relaxing holiday base to explore the Inishowen Peninsula.
The cottage was recently restored and now exudes old world charm combined with modern comforts including free internet for customers.. It features high pine celings, sliding sash windows and wooden floors. A solid fuel stove, central heating and high levels of insulation make it a very cosy holiday home. A private lane leads to the cottage and there is large back garden enclosed with an old stone wall. This garden is a safe play area and features a swing and a slide.
The holiday home is just a few minutes drive from three of the finest beaches on the Inishowen Peninsula – Leenan beach, Tullagh Strand and Pollan Strand at nearby Ballyliffin . The latter two beaches are used by the Inishowen Surfing School for Surf lessons. Pollan Strand has a lovely playground at the beach entrance and features a coastal path along its length, ending with the ruins of Carraickabraghy castle.
