Inishowen Visitor Guide

Inishowen Tourism has produced this information guide to enhance the experience of “what to see and do” when you visit the Peninsula. We have two information touch points, one based in Buncrana and the other in Carndonagh. The Visitor Services Team in Buncrana and in Carndonagh are dedicated to passing on their factual expertise of the area highlighting iconic attractions of scale, cultural and historical locations, niche and special interest activities to suit your needs.

There are many visitor resources online via this website and on the social web { Visit Inishowen }. We also recommend that you take time to call in with us at the Tourist Offices to collect your printed guide, avail of additional information, and meet our team to say “hello”. One of the key themes of the current strategy for Tourism Ireland/ Failte Ireland is to develop the “Wild Atlantic Way” launched in March 2014, and the brand associated with a world class coastal tourism route that we are part of.

We host Signature Point One of the route starting at Malin Head (Ireland’s Most Northerly Point). This is perhaps the most unspoilt and least talked about region in terms of tourism in the past, but that is all about to change. The big news that ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ was filmed at Malin Head has drawn phenomenal interest in Malin Head and the Peninsula as a place to visit. Be part of this exciting journey from the start, capture the wave of enthusiasm and join the avid explorer to choose Inishowen for a holiday, make it your own!
