You are warmly invited to a FREE Choral Concert featuring the 40-strong Bethlehem Choir from Minnesota, USA and with a guest appearance from their harpist. This evening recital will be a celebration of Faith, Culture and Music. The choir is on a 15-day tour of Ireland which has included performances in Dublin’s two cathedrals (Christ Church and St. Patrick’s) as well as venues around Northern Ireland. The choir was delighted to add Buncrana to their itinerary and have this opportunity to perform LIVE in Amazing Grace Country for the first time. Their performance will feature their version of “Amazing Grace” in Irish!
Couch to 5K kicks off again across the Inishowen Peninsula week commencing March 27th 2017 This ten week programme has been a huge success for the past 4 years, not only does it get the peninsula moving, but it also leads to new friendships, the strengthening of communities and ignites or renews a love of fitness for many. Firmly community-led, participants will meet at training sessions in five locations: Buncrana, Carndonagh, Malin, Clonmany and Moville. These are held on different times and days to ensure flexibility for all taking part. Participants will have one goal in mind – to walk, jog or run the 5k on Friday, June 2nd. They will be mentored and supported by their coaches from Inishowen AC and The Get Fit Gym with Charlie Byrne, as well as availing of top tips on nutrition and injury prevention. Previous participants Catriona and Mary started the programme in order to “get fit and lose weight.” They said that while they are well on their way to achieving that goal, they have also found there’s a “real community aspect” to their training sessions.
