A beautiful and relaxing centre for everyone, which hosts a tourism information point, craft shop and Northern Bites Café (renowned for their homemade chowder and baked goods); Cultural Heritage exhibitions; currently on display the marine exhibition ‘Banba the basking shark’ a wonderfully creative exhibit on the life of Malin Head’s own basking shark Banba. Schools and youth groups welcome with a children’s colouring/workbook available. Malin Head Heritage groups homestead mapping and oral history project. Poised gracefully amid the fertile lands of the Laggan Valley in East Donegal, near the banks of the River Foyle, approximately 8kms from the historic city of Derry / Londonderry is Monreagh Ulster Scots / Scots Irish Heritage & Education Centre. In the tranquil settings of a beautifully restored 19th-century manse, visitors are taken on a journey through the mists of time, exploring the rich heritage of the Lagan district in West Ulster. Spraoi agus Spórt Family Centre based in Carndonagh provide fun recreational activities for children of all ages and abilities. We run daily Parent & Toddler Groups, after-school, evening, weekend and holiday time activities which include Arts & Crafts, Drama, Music, Technology, Table Tennis, Gymnastics, Cooking, Baking and more. We can provide one-to-one assistance for children with a disability if required, we also run a dedicated youth club for children with a disability. We look forward to seeing you soon.
