As the Inish Times reported last week in my tourism column; we shared the wonderful news from the other side of the Atlantic; Kieran and his team who arrived back from the US trip competing for the championship in Rhode Island. World’s Best Seafood Chowder Award came home with Kieran and the team from Ballyliffin’s Nancy’s Barn. Sharing in the success with the local community on Thursday 15th of June, Kieran was given a hearty welcome home. Inishowen Tourism Marketing representative Denise Henry attended the evening to congratulate Kieran. Kieran’s seafood chowder has been a hit for some time with the visitor feedback at the tourist office and as Tourism Development and Visitor Services Officer personally feel this stamp of approval seals the success of his local specialty.
