Wildwoods Open Day 2017 – Culdaff, Inishowen
The attendees had the chance to come along and experience Bushcraft with their family and friends! Demonstrations on the day included: Firelighting techniques from primitive to modern; Bannock Bread Making; Wild Edible and Medicinal Plants & Bushcraft.

Man-Made Shelters & Rotisserie Style Roasted Pig in Inishowen
The exciting weekend also featured various types of Accommodation: From man-made shelters to Glamping. The local craft community attended. There was a showcase of traditional Crafts: Basket Weaving, Finger Knitting, Crocheting, Metal Forging. To wrap the day up, there was a brilliant spread of food delivered by Head Chef Gary Mc Peake – it also included a Griddle Baked Bannock, Homemade Jam & Butter & a Rotisserie Style Roasted Pig Display.
While keeping the emphasis on Fun, Education, Safety and More Fun, visitors had the chance to experience everything from fire-lighting using primitive and modern day methods using natural materials, shelter building, with backwoods wild game preparation and cooking to nature trails, beach and woodland foraging, campcraft, knots and lashings and much more.
