Glashedy Art Gallery is located in the busy town of Ballyliffin on the North Eastern side of the Inishowen Peninsula. Nestled on the top floor of a busy retail store within the village you will find a wealth of artwork and photography that echos an appreciation and love of the Inishowen Landscape. In the Gallery Space, you can view the work of talented local and international artists, see below.
Adjacent to the gallery you will notice a studio and framing workshop where artwork and photographs are framed to meet the demand of requests by locals and visitors. By engaging with art work on display you will notice that much of the work is inspired by the powerful Atlantic, majestic Glashedy Island, see above and the rugged beauty you will encounter in Inishowen.
Capturing A Moment In Inishowen
Owner of the Gallery Des Kemmy began his company in response to the demand to showcase the area and follow his own passion for photography. A keen self taught photographer, Des ventures out into the landscape to capture the beauty of the Peninsula. These moments are then reconstructed in the medium of watercolour, the end product a series of original prints.
